Oh so many memories of this kind, caring, beautiful person....my Maid of Honor, my confidante, my friend.  So many stories. She will always be remembered for her smile and positive attitude and generous, caring ways.

I was so saddened to learn of the loss of such a dear, kind friend.  Sheila and I shared so many wonderful times in elementary and high school.  4H,  the Aqua Center, and high school activities were only a few of the fond memories I have with Sheila.  She was such a kind and caring person!  She will be missed by so many.

I do not know where to begin, I have been a close friend with Sheila since 3rd grade. Our lives have been tied together the whole time, 67 years (wow)! Many activities in school and out of school, in each others wedding, watching our kids grow up.( she was God mother of our oldest), we have traveled many   miles to see each other, ton of phone calls, and lots of emails as long as she could work the computer. Needless to say she will be missed by MANY!   She suffered for a long time, but she always put others first. She is now with our LORD and at peace, an angel watching over us. I can see her smiling and saying "welcome home, good to see you again." .As we both walk together, without any pain.    .

Sheila & I had an amazing 8thgrade teacher, Mrs Crossley, at Westwood Jr High. Sheila knew when Mrs Crossley’s birthday was, and after we were in high school, she got the whole class to go over to Westwood for a little celebration. Mr ?McGoogan, the principal, helped arrange this crazy surprise, but it was all Shiela’s idea. Shiela or her mother made some cookies for the party. These cookies were called Wimpies or something, based on a Mike Anderson book report. Every single one of us was delighted that Sheila had arranged this lovely surprise, and Mrs Crossley enjoyed it too. Right this minute, probably Shiela, Mrs Crossley, Judie Claire, and Mike Anderson are having a sweet time meeting up with each other. And if ghosts eat cookies, they're all munching on some Wimpies

Sheila and I got in touch with each other when they were living in Mission Viejo, CA...we had been trying to find each other for quite awhile. I was able to visit with her twice while she was out here - one of those times with Nancy Kilbride. It was so good to see her. We kept in touch every so often once she moved to TX. I would occasionally mail her "thinking of you" cards...especially when she was no longer able to use the computer.
Sheila was one of the kindest persons I have ever met. She was so sweet to me in high school. It was so sad to learn she had MS, but her attitude was so positive.
Such a wonderful soul...the world is much sadder without her and she is truly missed.

I am so saddened to hear of my friend Sheila's passing.  It really doesn't seem that long ago that we were little girls walking to school together and attending each other's birthday parties.  I knew that she was having some health issues, and was happy when she and John came to Kanab for a visit.  Two of her 'bucket list' items were going to see the Grand Canyon and visiting Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, where we were given a private tour due to her mobility issues.  I think that was what made her the happiest!  We had a good weekend, I was honored that she was able to come to Utah from California to spend a little time.  As her health continued to decline, and after she was less & less able to reply to messages I was able to stay in contact with John, who kept me apprised of her condition.  He was always positive in relating her condition  and reported that she was happy to know we were still thinking of her.  She was always upbeat about her health, even though it was a difficult disease and she did struggle with it.   I admired her approach to her challenges and always, her love for John and her family.  She was a fun, happy friend and I remember lots of good times we shared.   Out of pain now, RIP, my friend.

Many fond memories of my friend Sheila.  I met her when Bill and I started school in Park Forest at Westwood Junior High.  I remember our 4H times at the Illinois State Fair  Share the Fun contest.  "Lollipop" and the baby-doll dresses and knee socks, "Honeybun" and the official sailor suits and Gloria Lisanti's coconuts. One summer day in Rolling Meadows when Sheila, Leila, and Lynne visited and all our children played together is a great memory.  Sheila and John stopped in Schaumburg to visit a few times when they were in the area.  We lost touch when they moved to Texas, but she was always in my heart.  I pray that God will hold John and her family in His loving arms and give them comfort.

Two Chicago friends posing in front of my parents' Diamond Bar house back in the day with John taking the picture. I think Sheila and John were going camping at Anza Borrego that weekend and they stopped through Diamond Bar to say "Hi!" Sheila passed away last Sunday and it's really hard losing such a good friend. She and I go way back to third grade in Park Forest, Illinois. So many memories of the 4H Club, the Illinois State Fair, the Junior Prom train ride, the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, Sherman Gardens in Corona Del Mar, Tucson visit, Tombstone visit, classes at Rich East, birthday parties, sock hops, and the list goes on. She was the best friend a gal could ever have and I have been saddened by the loss. She is at peace now. God bless her. We will all miss her dearly.
