I knew Bill in High School and we didn't really hang out much until we had both finished college. Then one night hanging out at the Bowling Alley bar we started talking about getting an apartment together in Chicago. At the time Bill was working for Prudential Life Insurance.

So we got lucky and found a cool place on Bellevue PL right N of downtown around Rush St. we had a great time  putting the place together. Let me tell you Bill was a perfectionist and he loved doing things around the apartment. He also was great cook, in era when most guys could hardly boil water.

Must say we were sort of like the odd couple he was the clean and neat one and well I was the opposite, We managed to stay out of any conflicts and stayed together for most of that year. Towards the end of the year he met a great lady at work and in just a few months they were engaged and soon after married.

After that I know he went on to work for GM is their diesel motor division. He followed in his Dad's footsteps. His Dad worked their all his life. Pretty sure Bill had a family but someone will have to confirm that.

Bill had a smile and wit a million miles long just a great guy in so many ways, he lived a great life. Surely will be missing him but like past generations he planted seeds for the next one!!!!!
