Hello Friends and Family,

I am very sad and sorry to report the passing of my brother John yesterday morning, March 16. His wife, Annie and daughter, Erika reported that he passed peacefully in the hospital in Campbellsville Kentucky. He had been in hospice care at home for the previous 2 weeks or so. He had been fighting a rare form of anemia for more than a year and I think his body must have been exhausted. I am so glad I was able to visit John and family (including dogs and 6 horses) last month. We had some very good conversations and watched a lot of TV as the government shutdown ended. John was very happy about that. He had already told me, a year ago, that he was ready to move on - he felt that he had lived a good and satisfying life and accomplished what he wanted to. Despite that feeling I think he was grateful for another year with his family and many friends.

Take good care of yourselves.

Love, Margie
